Welcome to the landing page that is, Martin Toole. Infrequently udpated, sporadically invigorated and a real drive to do everything and nothing.
Currently working part-time as a web designer/developer and cleaning operative at a local secondary school. Most of my time is spent with my band makemeAlpha, either playing together, learning new drum/percussion techniques, recording or working on the bands marketing and business side of things.
A university student at Leeds Metropolitan studying HCI, Music Software Sequencing, Web Technologies[Design & Development] and Internet Marketing. I understand how to template content with search engine friendly HTML and other client side languages. I have coded with Notepadd++ for 3++ years and have used this to create minimalist layouts with Cascading Style Sheets coding language. Employing many forms of digital marketing techniques on personal and client websites helped me with creating Autonomous Industry music marketing guide for the DIY band/musician. Working on other projects that are passion driven is something i will always try to be a part of. I also enjoy getting involved with all aspects of photography, whether with friends, by myself or for clients/website need. Another hobbie is playing the drums and getting stuck in to music creation in my homebuilt recording studio make me Alpha Studio.
The art of photography captured my imagination after receiving my first camera from my Step Father in 2007, a Samsung NV5. Im now a user of both Minolta SLR film and Pentax Digital SLR camera's. You can view my imagery on the link at the top or at my Flickr.
Since 2008 I knew that any product or thought i would have would be my own, unless i introduced promotion to it. With joining my first band it co-incided with learning digital marketing and offline marketing techniques, of which I now prioritize my thoughts and research to music marketing.
Started using Pimsleur audio teaching and did not get far since early 2011. Now I am using Paul Noble's introduction to French and now have a better understanding of speaking the French language. Although I still have a long way to go.
February 2007 was the month i began to play the drums, first drum kit was bought for me and I have not looked back since! I now play the drums for makemeAlpha and thoroughly enjoy learning new rudiments and the way I can release my energy through music. I practice, jam with band members/friends and record in my very own DIY recording studio.
make me Alpha is my current DIY sound project with Patrick Barron and Marc Charleton. Through the late months of 2010 we will strive to publish and spread our creative thoughts through the medium of sound.
